1 lb ground chicken
1 tsp salt
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/2 tsp cinnamon
6 garlic cloves
1/2 onion
1/4 cup parsley
2 tbsp olive oil
2 pita pockets
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together ground chicken, salt, black pepper, paprika, cumin, nutmeg, cinnamon, minced garlic, diced onions, and chopped parsley. Mix well and set aside.
- Cut pita pocket in half and add about 3-4 tbsp of chicken into a pocket. Then flatten it out.
- Heat up olive oil in a pan. Once hot, add stuffed pita bread to a pan and cook for about 3-5 mins on each side.
- Check if chicken is cook by inserting a thermometer. If the temperature reaches at least 165F, it’s ready.
- As soon as chicken is cooked, take off the heat. Overcooked chicken can become dry inside the pita.
- Enjoy it warm. Serve with salad if prefer.
